Common Ground
For supported volunteers
Common Ground supports those who have 'slipped through the cracks' of normal statutory services. Be part of a team of like-minded people who share their knowledge, experience and purpose across generations. Age is no barrier to entry!
Groups will work on a range of tasks on-site including conservation work, maintenance and repair, landscape construction and building, gardening and livestock farming.
Participants will get to:
- Reconnect with nature
- Care for each other and share a purpose
- Share skills, knowledge and experiences
- Grow with others
- See the fruits of your labour
- Get fit, make friends, have an impact!
Common Ground was born out of the post COVID-19 transitional period, where local people have found it difficult to resume with 'normal' life. It aims to help people develop their confidence, resilience and employability.
The programme is accessible for people of all ages and encourages supported volunteers to pursue their interests and fulfil their potential.
Funding and demand permitting, we hope to see attendees 1-3 days a week.
Participants should be able to work independently on Common Ground.
